How do you sign the letter X in BSL?
Extend the index finger of each hand and cross them, one over the other, forming an X. No movement. X is the 24th letter of the two-handed BSL alphabet.
X is exactly the shape of the letter: two straight fingers crossed. You will mostly spell it inside or at the end of a word — Alex, Max, Exeter.
You will fingerspell X in names like Xander and Xavier and places like Exeter (inside the word) and Wrexham. Practise it next to W and Y, its neighbours in the alphabet.
