How do you sign the letter W in BSL?
Open both hands, palms facing each other, and interlace the fingers of one hand between the fingers of the other. No movement. W is the 23rd letter of the two-handed BSL alphabet.
W is the two hands woven together — the zigzag of the letter. Keep the fingers straight as they interlace.
You will fingerspell W in names like William, Willow and Wyatt and places like Wolverhampton, Wakefield and Windsor. Practise it next to V and X, its neighbours in the alphabet.
