How do you sign the letter T in BSL?

Passive hand open, palm towards you. With your dominant index finger, touch the edge of the passive hand at the base of the index finger. No movement. T is the 20th letter of the two-handed BSL alphabet.

The sign, demonstrated on video by a Deaf teacher.

T touches the side of the passive hand rather than a fingertip: not a vowel position. It is the second most frequent letter in English after E.

You will fingerspell T in names like Thomas, Tilly and Theo and places like Truro, Torquay and Taunton. Practise it next to S and U, its neighbours in the alphabet.
